Menopause and Panic Attacks?
Experiencing panic attacks during menopause is something quite common for women. The reason for these symptoms during perimenopause and menopause is the changes in the hormonal balance in your body.
Women experience lots of changes close to menopause. The effects are breathing difficulties, racing hearts, rushes of energy, hot sensations or icy ones, shackings, and others. As you can see some of them are the symptoms of panic attacks. Most of women recur to medication to suppress these symptoms. But the truth is that some women may remain with panic and anxiety attacks even after the menopause has ended.
The common treatment for stopping panic attacks due to menopause is hormone replacement therapy. Yet, the studies have shown that it does not stop panic attacks signs for all women affected.
The main reason why women experience panic issues is the poor breathing. Most of the time they breathe very rapidly and shallowly, using the muscle of the chest, neck and shoulders and sometimes their diaphragm didn’t work. So a feeling of anxiety about yourself and your life is present from the beginning. Women make the mistake of worrying too much, be very anxious and feared and this influence greatly their ability to control their emotions during such times. As a result, they start experiencing anxiety attacks. And as they come out of the blue, anywhere and at anytime, many women make their matter worse, starting to experience panic attacks frequently.
